 Glenn Duval

Biography

Mr. Duval is the CEO of Challenger Cable Sales. Challenger Cable develops, manufactures, and sells specialty electronics to the cable television industry. Challenger has an office in Los Angeles and a warehouse distribution facility in Baltimore, Maryland. Challenger was established in 1986. Mr. Duval has served as co-chairman of Emerald Bay committee. Emerald Bay Boy Scout facility is located on Catalina Island and serves 9,000 economically and racially diverse campers from throughout California. He created “Scout for a Day,” a highly successful fundraiser, and is also a board member on the Boy Scouts of America West Los Angeles Council. Mr. Duval is an avid golfer and is a member of the Riviera Country Club. You can often see Glenn cycling to work. He is also a long time member of the La Grange Cycling Club and has participated in cycling races throughout Europe, including the Trans-Alp Race in 2001. Mr. Duval holds a B.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he was a student athlete competing on the volleyball team. He and his wife, Bettina, have served as UC Santa Barbara Parent Fund chairs. The Duvals are parents to four children, two are UC graduates and one attends UC Berkeley. Mr. Duval became a trustee of the UC Santa Barbara Foundation in 2012.
