Our Institute for Energy Efficiency is a powerful way to marshal UC Santa Barbara’s unique, interdisciplinary talents on a matter of global importance. The energy crisis over the next century is far more about demand than about supply, and we’re actively working to reduce and eventually reverse the growth in demand. We’re creating significant energy efficiencies for the building, computing, manufacturing, and transportation sectors, based on new insights and new technologies being developed here.
